Hmm... I've watched some of this, and decided it's not for me. Why? Because first-person is:
a) For psychological thrillers, with lots of introspection or internal monologue;
OR
b) Only one character's journey is central to the narrative.
Well, I just don't write those sort of stories.
My protag's journey takes precedence, true, but I have many characters, and choose to write from the POV of at least two, because:
1. Sometimes my protag is out for the count - injured, or sleeping. Who takes POV? Someone else. (If you remember the Stephen the Barbarian story, this happens when someone else - I won't spoil it by saying who - takes the night watch).
2. Sometimes I wish to show what is happening with the protag's True Love(TM). This also happens in the "Stephen the Barbarian" story: I give his True Love(TM) at least 2-3 chapters to shine on her own. I also do it with other stories.
I simply think it's unfair: why should the protag have all the fun?
