Hi........

I just tried doing a test message but when I tried sending you a private message I received thew following advice;

The requested users to be added do not exist.

I'm new to the site. Maybe I don't have authority to send such; maybe I stuffed up somewhere......

Sorry - I'm no help.....

Courtney: PMs work strangely in this software. It will stay in your outbox until the recipient reads it. This could be the issue. Flick me a PM to test, if you like.

Bob: You have the authority. User names are, unfortunately, case-sensitive (I think). If all else fails, try the 'find a member' link, which can be used to select the desired member(s). It's a bit cumbersome, but works.

Sorry I haven't been around to read your PM, Courtney - but the forum hasn't even let me log in for the past couple of days or so. :(

I keep on getting an error message, 502 I think, when I try and comment on topics in the forum, but the comment does appear.

I've had some of those too, Graham. I think they're caused by a disconnect between our hosting company's server and the caching system they're using (Cloudflare). Please let me know if the problem persists, and I'll report it to the hosting company.

Yes, this problem keeps persisting every time I try to reply to a thread, and sometimes even when I try to look at a thread. The error reads:

"Error 522 Ray ID: 206cc527c01d1d7a • 2015-07-16 09:44:55 UTC
Connection timed out

What happened?
The initial connection between CloudFlare's network and the origin web server timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.

What can I do?
If you're a visitor of this website:

Please try again in a few minutes.
If you're the owner of this website:

Contact your hosting provider letting them know your web server is not completing requests. An Error 522 means that the request was able to connect to your web server, but that the request didn't finish. The most likely cause is that something on your server is hogging resources. Additional troubleshooting information here."

Needless to say, the fact that it keeps happening is very, very tiresome... :(
