I think I subscribe to that process:

make a plan, play and play, make a different plan, play and play
Write at least one scene every day when the planning and playing creates an obsession to finish the story
Learn the ways to best present said pieces of writing to the people who read ...
ad infinitum.

Is there anyone here who doesn't want to be a great author? ;)
There is nothing wrong with nepotism, so long as you keep it all in the family. (Winston Churchill)

Can I just be famous? Or rich? or best-selling? Or ...

No, you're right, I'd rather be a great storyteller!

A good story, well-told - the aim of every great apprentice storyteller ... of which I strive towards in every way possible
