You make some very good points Rachael.
I agree there's no rush regarding IT duties especially with Christmas / work functions / family stuff happening now. A few weeks is neither here nor there. I really don't see how it affects anyone or have I missed something?
As you say, the forum has no subscription fees, and only accepts voluntary donations. I do appreciate the generosity of the volunteer admin workers who give their time and expertise for love, not money. I for one am grateful for the time you donate to the forum.
Thanks to all of you.

Re: Change to sign up process
I wasn't suggesting that there was any kind of emergency at this time of year for IT help. Just that it may be a good thing overall if you had a backup, or more or this type of assistance to share the load with.
I know Peter does come on board and helps sort things out when needed and he has done this in the past, but like you I wouldn't suggest calling on him regularly after he has requested to lessen his involvement.

Sorry, my misunderstanding. With the IT side, it's not my call, PGB owns the forum, so that decision is up to him but thank you for the suggestion. I'm sure Paul will consider it when back. All I can say is, easier said than done, after all, the forum is entirely run by volunteers.

You should now have access to this section again.
I have been off line for a few days. If it was an emergency, Rachel can email me directly if needed. We are making some changes in the background, as we have the right to do. I am not going to continue engaging with you on every change we make. The reasons for this are clear.

One good thing about this is it might mean Rob's more comfortable about returning. It may not, but just in case, I've mentioned it to him.

Bummer, he's still not game. Oh well, worth a shot!

There is nothing wrong with nepotism, so long as you keep it all in the family. (Winston Churchill)
