Great to have you back ChristineR! Congratulations for self-publishing your first book. It's a huge job so well done for tackling it by yourself.
All the best for the second book in your series.

Re: Removal of non-active members
Hi, good to see you back It feels great to have that first book published doesn't it.
The only thing I felt even better about was when I went to CreateSpace and produced a print version of my first. Wow to hold that 'REAL' book in the hand is something!
Hope to see you on the Forum regularly.

I can see some merit in removing members who have 0 posts after a period of time. How many of them do we have?

PGB it's so good to see you have a supporter for removals in Imunch, but then again not too surprising!

Re: Removal of non-active members
I began here as Discreet Author. Many times over the years, I returned until I finally forgot my password. At that point, I made a new profile and when it was discovered my old profile was deleted. I found that unfortunate as the history of my identity here was simply scrubbed. Personally, it is very seldom I find anything of benefit here in terms of writing knowledge or access, however, it is a themed procrastination to me that satiates my needs. I've worked as an author, professionally, for a good twenty years and I recognise that is not the story that brings everyone here. I do believe though, that old members should be welcomed back warmly; especially give the high turnover of new members. The before mentioned strategy seems a very effective way to control growth but loyalty to old members will have the opposite effect in my view.

I don't have much to add on this point, but welcome back, Furtive Wordsmith.
