Welcome nine newbies! That's impressive :)

*plays the "Hallelujah" chorus* :D

For nine newbies joined us here this week!
Hallelujah!

(...and so on... ;) For the record, Messiah is my still favourite piece to perform, which isn't surprising, as I perform it at least once a year)...

Hi there, I may be one of the nine - and yes, whoever posted that Nine is a significant number is spot on - and this is also the week of the Winter Solstice !
I'm in the throes of completing a (memoir genre) circa 60,000 word book and would love to know - has anyone used Author House (US) - it's been praised by a Melbourne writer I'm in contact with, but so far no one at AuthorHouse has answered my query email. I have a great cover design from a talanted designer on the Central Coast who also typeset a print and e-book format for me, but would like recommendations for a local printer. Has anyone used Canprint ? Happy ? Let me know - and thanks for the welcome ! Cinnamon

Sorry, that should have been 'talented'!

Welcome aboard, Cinnamon.

Unfortunately, it's quite common for publishers to not respond to queries. Often the rule is 'if you don't hear from us within four months, we're not interested in it'. Your best bet is to scour their web site for info like that.

Surprisingly, questions about printers haven't come up very often here. You could check out this thread.

Hmm... this is odd. Why does Cinnamon's profile show that he/she has 0 posts, despite the fact that he/she has already posted twice? *raises eyebrow*

Good question! I can't see anything obviously wrong in with the database. I fear I could do more harm than good if I were to make any manual changes.
