Re: Removal of non-active members

So the fictional stalker could join a forum, using an alias identifying with a sinister fictional character? Any suggestions? :)

Re: Removal of non-active members

Was BettyBoop really her name or something made up? What actually happened? Would it make a good story? Well, if Paul doesn't want to use the BettyBoop experience as the basis for a fictional story / novel, would somebody else like to use it? It's actually very current; the risk of making online en...

Re: Removal of non-active members

Hi Paul (PGB), There was quite a reaction to the nasty behaviour of a previous member who went by the alias of 'BettyBoop' when she/he stalked you on our forum, having crossed swords with you on another of the forums you belonged to. It had nothing to do with any of us and the way in which she tried...

Re: Removal of non-active members

This forum is a great tool for researching issues of value to writers or potential writers. The information stored here is extremely valuable. I often go back to old posts and re-read them for their valuable content. I can see no valid reason to destroy all that work that members have contributed ov...

If so then it may be worth sending the member an email indicating this and asking if they wish for their membership to be removed. If not then it would seem t...

Re: Closure of the forum

It would be helpful if we could read the offending email being referred to. We don't need to know who sent it. Can it be posted here please? That way nobody gets singled out for criticism.

I too wondered about what Rachael meant by vanishing rules. ?

Re: Closure of the forum

I have not been hugely active here (I look every day but don't post often) but that is due to my husband going through court and now being jailed for the next three years, so I also have not been writing much. Too preoccupied with trying to pay two mortgages on one income and saving every penny I c...

Re: Closure of the forum

I haven't read any negative feedback or received a single negative email about the forum. The attack on Paul PGW by a person or people who know him from other forums may have had an effect on others being less willing to share their work so publicly. If that person / persons joined this forum to att...
